Why Taboo Works for Groups

Most party games either need one player to run the whole thing, or they fall apart with more than 8 people. Taboo is different. The two-team structure keeps everyone involved — when it's not your turn to give clues, you're either guessing for your team or watching the other team for violations.

Setup for Large Groups

1. Divide everyone into two roughly equal teams
2. Choose how many rounds (3, 5, or more)
3. Take turns — one clue-giver per team per round
4. The clue-giver passes the phone to the next person after each turn
5. Total up the scores at the end
